Parents of children with special needs are often faced with tough decisions as to placement options and levels of service for their
children. Parents often need help in advocating for a child’s rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
("IDEA"). We advise clients on how to approach meetings with teachers and administrators and, if need be, we represent
parents in school district mediations, state administrative due process proceedings, and/or litigation in federal court. We
understand the delicate balance between advocacy and collaboration in school settings and are experienced at achieving solutions
that are principled, child-centered, and cost-effective.
