John’s V-card

A Colorado native, John grew up surrounded by breathtaking vistas and development challenges of the ski industry. He handles construction and real estate litigation, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, trials, and appeals. He also counsels clients in special education matters.

John received his law degree from Stanford Law School, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He also holds a Masters from Brown University.

Before teaming up with Ken Robinson in 2004, John practiced with Morrison & Foerster in Palo Alto, Chrisman, Bynum & Johnson and Faegre & Benson in Boulder, and with Steese & Evans in Denver. John also clerked for judges at the Colorado State Court of Appeals and at the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. He is a member of the bars of Colorado, California (inactive), and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (inactive). He has lectured on mechanic’s liens and the intellectual property aspects of design law.

When not practicing law, John produces documentary films.
